This course is designed for those students seeking additional programming experience while still in high school. Take what you learned programming in Visual Basic.Net and apply those skills using the Java language, which is rapidly becoming the programming standard for Computer Science majors and application development communities. Students reinforce existing programming skills and learn Java’s object-oriented approach using programmable LEGO robots. Students develop program code that manipulates the robot’s operations using OpenSource programming languages. Build your skills in Java program design and implementation, and decide if Advanced Placement Computer Science (Java 2) is something you want to pursue.
