OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM

Business Cooperative Education (Coop) is an academic program that enables students to gain job-related experience prior to graduation. 

  • Coop students earn academic credit for their work experiences and are paid by their employers. 
  • Coop students maintain their status as full-time students while participating in the program.
  • Coop students may receive Advanced Placement credits 


In addition to the work experience, students have a class for Business COOP which involves:

  • Job application activities (prepare resumes, job application, interview techniques, etc.)
  • Exploring careers & job shadowing
  • Reviewing & working on business related skills (computer, accounting, etc.)
  • Updating or creating a career portfolio
  • Making a job manual for your position
