1st Place Traveling Trophy for A&B Process Systems Welding Contest
The Marshfield High School Welding Program scored the highest raking in the Central Wisconsin Area after we took first place in a regional welding competition put on by A&B Process Systems. Eighteen schools competed this year and it's the first time we scored first after 3 years in a row of scoring second.
Congratulations to Luke Behling for his third place finish at the SkillsUSA State competition in Precision Machining. This is the first time Marshfield has placed in Precision Machining at the state competition.
NEW DOOR POLICY
Starting Tuesday February 19, we will increase our security efforts by locking all outside doors except the door closest to the main office during the school day. In addition there will be internal doors locked in the morning in an effort to keep students contained to the commons area in the very early morning.
The door schedule will be as follows:
At 5:30 am the commons doors will be opened. However the doors up to the “academic wing” will be locked. One door to the field house will be open as well. All other outside doors will be locked including the doors by the main office.
At 6:45am in an effort to accommodate the “early bird” classes the doors to the academic wing will be opened.
At the start of school the commons doors, and all outside doors, will be locked. The only exception to this is that the door closest to the main office will be open for visitors to enter. All visitors should be directed to the main office to sign in.
At 4:00 pm the commons doors will once again be opened. Consequently the doors up to the “academic wing” will be locked. The door to the field house will be open as well. All other outside doors will be locked including the doors by the main office.
Due to various after school events the time of night that the building is completely locked will vary.
Students leaving the building for TOPS will need to leave their ID and in turn they will be given a “fob card” which will allow them to open the commons doors and return to the building the way they always have.
The students who have class at “Tiny Tigers” (love that name) will be able to enter the door they always have with a fob card.
