Moving onto Middle School can be a big change. It means moving to a new school building, meeting new friends/teachers, as well as worrying about not having some of your friends from elementary school in all of your classes.
Here are some common misunderstandings about Middle School:
The teachers give loads of homework!!!—While it is likely your homework will increase for your benefit, it will be manageable.
The Middle School teachers are especially mean!!!—This is simply untrue.Middle School teachers are no different than other teachers you’ve had in the past.Of course, it may be the case that you prefer a particular subject/teacher over another.
The Middle School is soooo big you will get lost finding all of your classes.—Yes, the Middle School might be bigger than your elementary school, but it is not a mansion. In fact, most of your classes are generally grouped in a common area.
I will never be able to figure out how to open my locker!—Locker opening is so overrated! After a couple days you will be a pro.Besides, there is always someone to help if you get stuck.
I will not have enough time to find my class and get my books before the bell rings!!!—Four minutes may seem short to get what you need and be in the right place. However, it is plenty of time for you.In fact, after the first couple weeks you will find yourself in class waiting for the bell to ring before class starts.
