The following small groups are offered throughout the year for students.
Clearing the Air (because I am worried about someone close to me who uses alcohol or other drugs too much or I would like to look at my own use.)
Teen Issues (because it’s interesting to talk with other teens about issues I’m concerned about.)
Kids in the Middle/Banana Splits (because my parents are divorced, and I would like to talk to others in the same situation.)
Ambassadors (because I would like to assist with touring, buddy with new students, help students with special needs and want to help others in the school and the community.)
Healing Hearts (because a special person close to me has died and I want to talk about it with others.)
Seeds of Success (because I want to better my study skills and get more organized.)
T.G.I.F. – Thank Goodness I’m Female (because I want to discuss ideas/problems that girls are most interested in.)
A proven, effective way to study is to form study groups. If you would like to study with a friend, need help in a subject area and have a friend who understands the material, you may set up times in the Guidance Office to work during your study hall or before and after school. You will need a pass from the counselors.
Adult or peer tutors will also be available for students having difficulties. If you need a tutor, please see Mrs. Carlson or Mrs.DiStefano.
